• Poca inflamación. Este término se utiliza para describir la producción de sustancias por parte de los glóbulos blancos para combatir la infección. Estimula los ovarios poliquísticos para que produzcan andrógenos, lo cual puede provocar problemas del corazón y de los vasos sanguíneos.
• Factor hereditario. La investigación sugiere que determinados genes podrían estar vinculados con el síndrome de ovario poliquístico.
• Exceso de andrógeno. Los ovarios producen niveles anormalmente altos de andrógeno, lo cual deriva en hirsutismo y acné. (Mayo clinic , 2017)
• La obesidad: esta causa resistencia a la insulina y por ende podría ser una causa para desarrollar PCOS.
